The Decompression 02 is the successor to the Decompression 01 which was introduced in 2021.

Better, bolder and safer, it is conceived as an effective analog mechanical back-up instrument inspired by the science of safe diving.

The twin turning dial features the 0-700m ASL Bühlmann circular decompression table, operated in connection with the Twin Safety Bezel to measure decompression stops and total dive time.

Powered by the sophisticated and reliable Swiss made SW300 automatic movement and produced in a limited edition of 575 pieces, the Decompression 02 is not merely a professional dive watch - it is a tribute to the scientific foundations of modern diving.

Decompression Stops - Twin Safety Dial
The turning Bühlmann Twin Safety Dial® features the 0-700m ALS Bühlmann dive table decompression times for 17 "golden zone" recreational dive profiles.
Decompression Timing - Twin Safety Bezel
The Bühlmann Twin Safety Bezel® enables the separate tracking of the total dive time (TDT) and decompression stops (DS) time - each with its own fail safe blocking direction. A first in watchmaking.
Focus on what matters
The signature Bühlmann XXL minutes hand immediately puts the visual focus on the diving information which matters most, such as the total dive time (TDT) and the decompression stops time.
Functional case
The robust stainless steel case construction is designed for underwater reliability. It is inclined by 5° to assure perfect dial legibility above and below water. The Decompression 02 is water-resistant to 57.5ATM - 575m - 1885ft.
Super luminous
The Swiss Superluminova® Grade X1 pigments used on the Decompression 02 have a 60% increased afterglow performance after two hours compared to standard grades. Long term legibility according to ISO 3157 is extended by at least a factor of 1.6.
Comfort & Ergonomy
The Decompression 02 is an extremely comfortable watch to wear due to its ergonomic concave case-back shape and a flexible joint placed at the 12 o'clock lug. These features, as well as the fine adjustment perforated rubber strap, assure a snug fit for any wrist size. The strap extension allows you to wear the watch over your diving suit.
Luxury finishes
The "Druckkamer blue" dial - inspired by the colour of of Dr. A. Bühlmann's decompression chamber at the University Hospital of Zürich - emphasises legibility and functional beauty. It is executed with a fine sunburst finishing and the rhodium indexes are hand-applied. The decompression bezel is made of hi-tech ceramics.

How it Works
Plan. Dive. Manage.
Plan
Plan your dive and set your chosen profile on the watch by turning the decompression dial (depth - bottom time) until it shows in the dial opening at six o'clock.
Control
Measure your total dive time (TDT) by aligning the "0" triangular marker on the TDT bezel with the minutes hand just before immersion.
Dive
Dive to your target depth and measure your bottom time by checking the minutes hand versus the scale on the total dive time bezel.
Ascend
Resurface by maintaining a max. ascent rate of 10m per minute. Check this with the seconds hand and your depth meter.
Decompress
Read the depth of your first decompression stop and the corresponding decompression time on the dial. Ascend, and upon reaching the first decompression stop, align the "0" marker on the decompression bezel with the minutes hand and time the stop. Once the time has elapsed, ascend to the next decompression stop and repeat the procedure until you resurface.
Stay safe
When you are back on the boat turn the decompression dial until the fly-no-fly position appears in the opening at 6 o'clock and point the triangle to red. Once the triangle points to green after 36h-48h you are safe to fly.

Second best mechanical dive watch in the world! Singer Dive Track being the first, although ($98K to$125K) somewhat pricier. Only two things would keep me from buying this watch: 1. In my seventies, I do not dive anymore. Physiology you understand. My diving era was the '70's and '80's. I could have made full use of this instruments capabilities back then had it existed. 2. I have to live my life IAW my values, so as much as I desire this - - - I would not purchase one thereby denying an active diver their chance to have this outstanding tool upon their wrist.

This instrument achieves perfection for its intended usage.
