The origin of the system The first mechanical interpretation of Bühlmann decompression theory. A foundation. Limited Edition of 250 pcs Now fully allocated.
Where it began.
Decompression 01 marked the first mechanical translation of Bühlmann decompression theory into a wrist-worn instrument.
It was not designed to follow the codes of traditional dive watches, but to serve a specific purpose: making decompression logic readable, mechanical, and independent.
Developed with direct links to the scientific partners of Dr. A. Bühlmann, it established the foundation for everything that followed.
Produced in a limited series, it quickly found its place among divers, professionals, and collectors who understood its purpose.
Today, it is no longer available.
The Watch
Decompression 01 represents the first mechanical implementation of Bühlmann decompression principles in a wrist-worn format.
Its architecture was defined by usability and clarity under real conditions, prioritising decompression readability over traditional dive watch conventions.
By translating a scientific model into a purely mechanical interface, it established the foundation for a new class of horological instruments.
This foundation is carried forward in Decompression 02.
Bühlmann Watches collaborates with leading organisations in the diving ecosystem for research, testing and data.
